New year’s Greeting

150 anniversary “Tenugui” (Japanese traditional towel) gift prayed for ”Manpuku shourai” (inviting full of happiness)

We offered our original Tenugui at Tsukiji Namiyoke Shrine, our guardian deity, to have it specially prayed for, inviting full happiness on the lucky last day of December. The message on the towel is presented as “Manpuku shourai” , wishing a lot of happiness to everyone.

“Being Auspicious! Having high spirits! Doing good business! “
that are very Edokko (Tokyo locals) in Uogashi (the fish market)
With the hope that everyone will be able to spend this year cheerfully and feeling refreshed, Edokko’s favorite “Abare Noshi” design was dyed golden, red and white on the Tenugui in connection with the Year of the Tiger.

We prepare for the “Manpuku shourai” Tenugui for our 150th anniversary as a gift with each purchase at the shop and on the website.
Wishing you all good luck from the bottom of our hearts, we look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
All of Staff Azuma Minamoto no MASAHISA
